This or That
We leave a busy lives these days, and that's a fact. We're forever rushing from one place to the next without stopping to think about the decision we are making, and how they are effecting our lives and the lives of people around us. But when is it enough?

What can we learn from the events in Hammond, Indiana?

We can learn time with our love ones is precious and not to take it for granted. We also learn not to rush, if you're late, be late. Don't take measurements that could lead to you never getting there. Life is to short to tempt fate.

For those who don't know about the incident I'm talking about. Edie Bolanosat was driving her minivan, with her 4 children aging 3-13, in the Hammond station parking lot. Her speed increases as she passed a CSX freight train traveling east. On the Johnson Avenue near the Hudson Street intersection. She crossed the tracks only to be hit by a west bond train. The impact forced her minivan to pin and be pushed in front and the east bound track.

Bolanosat, who is listed in critical condition, along with her two sons survive. Sadly her daughters aged 8 and 11 were killed.

Lives are forever changed by this one decision. Not just the family and the community...but the train crew and their families.

People choice not to believe that the mother is at fault. They say the car was fulty somehow. That she had no control of it speeding up, and pausing before turning out, and had no control of it going over the tracks.

Others place the blame on the city for only having flashing lights. That they should've put a gate there. And we all know nobody goes through the gates.

Yet, some want to blame the trains. Why not sure. It's not like they can stop.

For those who have not seen the video:

Before I leave you let me ask you a question which happens to be one of my favorite quotes.

"Would you rather be a few minutes late in this life time, or a several years yearly for the next lifetime?"
